MBI Awards 2006
Ein wenig Englisch – ich war zu faul zum übersetzen… 😉
We’ve all seen the Best of awards on the covers of the glossy motorcycle
magazines. Now it is time for the people’s choice, or, in this case, the motorcycle riders‘ choice. I’m a charter member of MBI, an international association of motorcycle bloggers who believe the annual Best of magazine awards tell only part of the story. MBI have been working for the past two months to bring this to you.
Our idea is for regular riders, not moto journalists, to recognize noteworthy achievements and egregious lapses of judgment. Any new motorcycle or motorcycle-related product, service, event or action by an individual or organization is fair game for our awards.
Um es mal zu umschreiben: die internationale Motorrad-Bloggerszene (das schließt mich ein) hat sich zusammengetan und Auszeichnungen in den folgenden Kategorien ausgelobt:
- „Most promising new concept motorcycle“ – Innovationen waren gefragt
- „Best Web Presence“ – Welcher Motorradhersteller macht es den Besuchern am einfachsten/schönsten
- „Object of lust“ – Das Motorrad, das alle wollen (aber keiner bezahlen kann)
- „Best Everyday Motorcycle“ – Praktisches für den täglichen Einsatz
- „What were they thinking?“ – Unnütze und unpraktische Produkte
- „Standing ovation“ – Für die Person, die am meisten für das Motorradfahrer-Image getan hat
- „Thumbs down“ – Für die Person, die dem Motorradfahrer-Ansehen am meisten schadete
- „Wish we’d thought of that“ – Bestes/Interessantestes Produkt des Jahres
- „Ugliest new bike“ – Hässlich wie die Nacht…
Die Ergebnisse gibt es auf unserer offiziellen MBI – Motorcycle Bloggers International Heimseite zu studieren.
In diesem, dem ersten Jahr des Awards, fand die Wahl noch ausschließlich unter den 12 Bloggern statt, die aus aller Welt (USA, England, Frankreich, Chile, Japan, Dänemark, China, Deutschland, Niederlande) stammen.
Für die nächste Wahl (Anfang 2007) ist geplant, daß dann die Blogleser nominieren und auch abstimmen, dann kann man bestimmt auch von repräsentativen Ergebnissen sprechen.
